As you are aware, the last few days have seen an easing of some national restrictions as the Government continues its roadmap towards hopefully the ending of all restrictions.
The guidance for schools has not changed significantly. There has been the removal of the requirement for pupils (secondary) and staff to wear face coverings in the classroom. In our school, staff
may choose to wear a face covering within the classroom. For staff who must work across bubbles,
this continues to be mandatory. Any essential visitors to the school site must also continue to wear
a face covering.
Social distancing, frequent and regular hand washing, children remaining within their bubbles, staggered start and end times, an enhanced cleaning regime and limiting face to face contact are all control measures we must still adhere to.
Closer to the next key date, June 21st, we anticipate further guidance from the Government.
Thank you for your continued support.
This week we have welcomed Mr Day to the teaching team in the Owls Class. Mr Day is completing
his teaching placement with us until July.
Year 3 & 4 Parents
You are invited to join us for a Zoom meeting next Thursday 27th May @ 5.00pm. This will be an
opportunity for us to share information with you in advance of the forthcoming residential visit. A
zoom invite will be sent to you on Monday. You will receive the kit-list before we break up for halfterm.
We have provisionally arranged for Year 4’s to spend 2 transition days at their prospective Middle
Schools on 7th & 8th July. Obviously, this is dependant upon current restrictions being lifted. Further details will follow.
A reminder that school closes next Friday for half term. We return to school on Monday 7th June.
I’ve heard from the children that many of you are going on a much needed holiday!
Have a lovely week
