Pupil Premium Funding
The Pupil Premium is extra funding given to schools to help children who may need additional support to achieve their very best. At Hutchinson Memorial CE First School, we use this funding to make sure every child, whatever their background, has the same chances to succeed and feel confident in school.

We use our Pupil Premium funding to:

  • Support high-quality teaching, so all pupils benefit from excellent classroom practice.
  • Provide extra help for children who need it, through small-group work, individual support or specific learning programmes.
  • Remove barriers to learning, for example by supporting wellbeing, attendance and engagement so children are happy, settled and ready to learn.

The Department for Education asks schools to publish a clear plan each year showing:

  • how we will use the funding
  • why we have chosen these approaches
  • the impact the funding has had

At Hutchinson Memorial, our aim is simple: to ensure every child feels valued, supported and able to flourish, academically, socially and emotionally.
